DC Kishtwar's alleged misbehavior triggers protest 3/20/2018 11:31:13 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Mar 20: A late night protest broke outside the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar against the alleged mis-behaviour of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar with the people of Marwah who are waiting since last several days for the chopper tickets. As per the details available with 'Early Times' the angry people hailing from Marwah and Warwan areas presently cut off from the rest of the state due to snowfall assembled at new DC office complex over the issue of allege irregularities in finalizing the list of the people to be airlifted through a private chopper service introduced by the government on cheaper rates. The people called upon DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana with the complaint. They were snubbed by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar leading to protest by the people. Speaking to Early Times, Irshad Ahmad, a resident said that instead of listening to their grievances, the DC Kishtwar misbehaved with them and called the police personnel to through them out. He said that DC threatened them that they would be jailed and a case would be registered against them. Another youth Mohammad Ilyas said that DC Kishtwar told them that he will increase the airfare from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 4000 adding that he didn't listen to them as they are suffering and had no money to eat and to stay. "We are in shabby condition--facing lot of problems here--Marwah is under total darkness---no official is presently in Marwah and all of them are un-authorizedly absent from duties," said Nazir Ahmed. He said that people are complaining with DC Kishtwar again and again with regard to non functional of government offices as same are running from private buildings in Kishtwar, but nothing was done by him which suggested that the administration is patronizing them.
