"Does a mother throw her child out if he commits mistake?" ask doctors | Termination of Dr Amit revoked following melodrama | | Nitesh Sangral
Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 20: Succumbing to pressure from junior doctors and employees' organizations, the government on Tuesday revoked termination of Dr Amit. He was terminated over a Facebook post early this week. The junior doctors held a meeting with the Principal GMC after addressing a press conference. The decision to revoke the termination order was taken during the meeting, reports said. Principal GMC, Dr Sunanda Raina told after press conference that junior doctors including Dr Amit were called in a meeting wherein Dr Amit once again apologized for his mistake and assured that they would not be repeated in future, following which it was decided to revoke the termination order of the doctor. Pertinently, Dr Amit was terminated by the Principal of the GMC Jammu for 'anti-government' post on social media which was termed as violation of SRO 525. Since then the junior doctors came together against the doctorial order. Earlier, Principal Medical College Dr Sunanda Raina with Chief Engineer Mechanical wing, Medical Superintendent, Deputy MS and other called a press meet to clear the facts about the Lift and termination of the doctor on Tuesday at GMC Jammu. During the press meet the Principal of GMC Jammu Dr Sunanda Raina lost her temper over a scribe's query. "I am like mother of this institute and if the doctor had any query related to work, he should have come to me and asked about it" said the Principal. "Does a mother throw his son out from house if he commits mistake?" questioned doctors. |
