| Woman dies after sterilization surgery at Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Mar 20: A woman reportedly died on Tuesday after undergoing "faulty" sterilisation surgery at Accidental Hospital Vijaypur under Family Planning Camp in District Samba here. The deceased has been identified as Seema Devi wife of Kuldeep Raj, a resident of Chack Ram Chand in District Samba. According to the sources, today in the morning she along with her family members went to Accidental Hospital Vijaypur for sterilization surgery. A team of doctors examined to her, admits in hospital, and then operated but the operation was not successful and the doctor presuming the condition of patient which started deteriorating refereed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for treatment where during treatment she died. Police said that inquest proceedings have been initiated in this regard and the body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of the GMC&H and will be handed over to family members after post-mortem. |
