Doda, Mar 25: To raise public awareness about the health, social and economic consequences of Tuberculosis and in connection with World Tuberculosis Day, an impressive programme was held in the premises of CMO Office Doda which was organized by Department of Health and Family Welfare Doda
Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Wajid Ali Najar was the Chief Guest while Dy CMO Doda/DTO Dr Rakesh Bhagat, DHO Dr Tariq Masood, Dy SP Hqr Iftikhar Qureshi and Health Educator Mohammad Shafi Attu were the special guests on the occasion besides the programme was attended by officials of health department and students of various educational institutions. Speaking on the occasion, CMO Doda Dr Wajid Ali Najar said that health department is making strenuous efforts in eradicating this infected disease from gross root level.
Dr Najar exhorted upon the concerned to organize various awareness programmes especially in remote areas to educate the masses about the symptoms and treatment of this disease, adding that there is dire need to raise public awareness about the spread of this disease that is treatable and preventable for which Health Department has taken up strong steps over its control. |
