Jammu, Mar 25: The annual hawan ceremony of Durga Ashtami organized every year by Kashmiri Pandita Sabha was celebrated with usual gaiety and religious fervour today at Sabha premises, Ambphalla, Jammu. The Annual Hawan starts a day earlier on saptami to pay obeisance to all deities and homa is carried on next day. During the Hawan ceremony performed by Pt. Kuldeep Sharma devotees also sang hymn in praise of mother Goddess with devotion. Puran Ahuti was conducted at 1:30 PM after a discourse on Social & religious values by KP Sabha President Pt. K. K. Khosa.
Surinder Ambardar, MLC, BJP graced the occasion and blessed the gathering of devotees. After homa the devotees were served with Prasad. Others who were present on the occasion were A. K. Braroo (Sr. Vice-President), Ashwani Koul (Vice-President), Ashok Khar, H. K. Tiku, B. L. Tickoo, Subash Dhar, J. L. Zutshi, Dr. Ashok Koul, Rajinder Tiku, Dr. Usha Tickoo, Shama ji and others. |
