RAJOURI, Mar 25: Rajouri police have taken seven persons into preventive custody who, according to police, were involved in un-lawful activities since long.
The persons were taken into preventive custody on the order of Executive Magistrate and have been lodged in judicial lock-up.
The accused have been identified as Vinay Bhalla, Vicky Sharma both residents of Jawahar Nagar, Munshi Khan of Danidhar, Ashfaq Shah of Daraj (Budhal), Ghulam Mustaffa of Mangota (Thannamandi), Mohd Shakeel, Sanjay Kumar both residents of Rajouri.
Meanwhile, district police have refuted the information spread on social media network about bullet injury to one Bibdu Choudhry, former sarpanch during police public clash on Saturday at Nowshera.
"Not even a single bullet was fired on the protesters and few people received splinter injuries due to tear gas shells" said SSP.
Police has informed the admin of all such WhatsApp groups that sharing such fake messages will be taken seriously. |
