Kathua, Mar 25: Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua has organizing 5 days duration Mahatama Gandhi Yuva Swachhta Maha Abhiyan Evam Sharamdaan Karyakaram from 21st to 25th of March 2018 at village Patyari (Janglote) in which over 100 participants participated.
The Theme of the camp was to preserve Water and Swachhata, accordingly youth and public were aware and sensitize about the water preservation as Prime Minister of India has given call " Village water should retain at village level" for that people were sensitized to keep water bodies operational, more plantation, and save the water.
For swachhata, youth and public were sensitized to construct and use of toilets, and clean their homes, street, mohalla and whole village and stop using polythene. Cleanliness drives, rallies were organized. To generate awareness and educate youth and public, resource Persons from various departments had delivered lectures: Agriculture, Rural Development and Panchayat, Poultry Extension, Khadi and Industries Board, Animal Husbandry, Employment and counseling centre. Som Datt Zard, DYC, has delivered lecture on Beti Bachaio-Beti Padio, Check on drugs abuse, Youth empowerment, Self-employment Ladli Yojana.
Charanjeet Sing, Ex-MLA Kathua was Chief Guest on valedictory function. In his address he stressed upon Youth and Public to actively participate in Swachhatga mission and water conservation and also organize themselves to take the maximum benefits of the flagship programmes of the run by the government for social welfare and security, and Youth should come forward to equip with skills and start their enterprises and business under various govt. schemes. Govt. cannot provide job to everyone. Jattinder Singh social worker extended welcome address and O.P Salaria, Ex Sarpanch extended the vote of thanks. |
