| 'Creation of Addl Districts a Jaundiced political approach' | | | Jammu, Mar 25: The J&K Aam Aadmi Party in a press release has expressed anguish and surprise over creations of Addl. Dy. Commissioner's posts in various parts of Jammu Province on pick & choose police & particularly to appease certain political bosses to appease their vote banks.
The release wondered that no criteria has been fixed for the same as a result most deserving areas feel neglected & discriminated which consequently resort to Dharnas & Agitational course in a democratic manner. The creation of ADC at Kotranka in District Rajouri & Basohli & Billawar in District Kathua, is every body's knowledge that present government has tried to appease their sitting Cabinet Minister so that their constituencies become safe. The previous governments who created Districts on one Tehsil in the past, is a story repeated by the present government. Then what is the difference between previous & present government. In fact the release cited an example that Thathri Sub-Division in District Doda is surrounded by 4 Tehsils namely (i) Phagsu, (ii) Bhella, (iii) Chiralla & (iv) Kahara, make a sound claim for full fledged District Status with 5 Tehsils including Thathri Tehsil as Head Quarter. The present confusing, immature & half hearted approach with political considerations demand that people of this area should also come on roads, the release said and added that it would have been better to take all stake holders in confidence and create a full-fledged District at a convenient central place instead of creating 4 ADC posts without any developmental powers within one District. |
