Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 25: Directorate of Command Area Development, Jammu concluded 12 days Refresher Course Programme for Soil Conservation Assistants at Adaptive Trials-cum-Training Centre, Chak Jarallan, Jammu. In the refresher course, stress was given on Soil & Water Conservation in India, Role and Importance of Water User Associations in management of irrigation system, community organization, Planning phase, production system & practices, field visit & group discussion. S. Jatinder Singh, KAS Director, Command Area Development, Jammu had interaction with the trainees who expressed their satisfaction about the training and lectures given to them during the training period by different officers of the department. The Director in his address said that in field of agriculture we have made tremendous development, but still better things could be done in the field of soil & water management with the efforts of our field functionaries for farming community. He suggested the trainees to reach out to the farmers & the society to spread the knowledge of soil & water conservation and make more & more farmers aware about the latest agricultural practices. A total of 30 trainees, representing the various soil conservation sub divisions of the CAD Department attended the Refresher Training Course Programme. During conclusion of refresher course programme certificates were awarded to the officers who attended the programme. The Director was accompanied by Narender Mishra Chief Agriculture Officer and A.K.Dubey Project Officer Command Area Jammu. |
