| SBM contractual employees stage protest | | |  Early Times Report
Doda, Mar 28: Saakshar Bharat Employees Forum (SBEF) today staged protest demonstration against state government in Doda on Wednesday morning.
Under the leadership of SBM Employees District President Doda Yaver Amin, at least 70 contractual employees assembled infront of DC Office and raised slogans against state government for their demands.
"We have been engaged on contractual basis in 2010-11 purely on merit basis via District, Block and Panchayat levels and serving the department from inception of scheme in adult education centers and our service are also utilized for academic support, booth level officers, CAPD, Election duty, NAFSA, Adhaar Enumetors etc. Firstly we are engaged under 5 years plan, thereafter SB has been given extension up to 31 of March 2018. Another issue is our salary which lies with govt from several years which has put a negative impact on the social life of contractual employees and giving extension many times created confusion in their minds and darken the future of employees and their families", the protesters said. Protester also demanded regularization of their servies.
Later, they met with DC Doda Bhawani Rakwal and submitted memorandum. |
