| PHE Deptt allots works to blue eyed contractors | | |

Poonch, Mar 28: Although government has introduced E Tendering to check irregularities but in border district Poonch authorities of PHE department are granting works to some favourites.
According to the sources, Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) PHE has invited a short tender notice for "installation testing and commissioning Horizontal Centrifugal Pump set 5000 GPH × 300 MH along with 60HP induction motor at pumping station right side Chaktroo under WSS Chaktroo" on 16 of March. Last date of applying for the tender was 25 of March. Without opening the tender, a blue eyed contractor has installed material for the same work. Locals have appealed to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to look into the matter and take appropriate action against erring officials. |
