Prof Bhim appeals Parliament not to go for impeachment against CJI | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 28: Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India & Executive Chairman, State Legal Aid Committee has made an earnest appeal to his Colleagues/Advocates in the Supreme Court of India to drop the idea/plan to move an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice of India as has been widely reported in the national press. Prof.Bhim Singh has been practicing in the Supreme Court since 1973 and made landmarks in the history of Public Interest Litigation fighting for delivery of justice to the suffering people from all walks of life. Prof.Bhim Singh is also the Executive Chairman of the State Legal Aid Committee, J&K besides a known political activist fighting for equity, justice for all sections of people to ensure that justice is distributed through the power of the pen, the Judges are holding. Prof.Bhim Singh has left a landmark in several Public Interest Litigations as well as in the writ petitions which he moved before the Supreme Court seeking justice and equity. Prof.Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the politicians and the Members of the Parliament who, as reported, have planned to move an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice of India. Prof.Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the Members of the Parliament to adopt a method or way out other than 'impeachment' to ensure that technical wrongs in dealing with the judicial matters are rectified/corrected/amended in the Public Interest without causing any damage to the great reputation of the Supreme Court of India which has been showing the light towards the path of justice for the people of India. |
