Jammu, Mar 28: In continuation to the series of free Anorectal checkup camps, a second check up camp for the needy and deserving section of society was organized by Jammu Institute of Ayurveda & Research, Nardani Jammu in Shri Sai Charitable Trust Hospital Pamposh Colony Janipur. In this camp Dr. Sudesh (Associate Professor) & Dr. Sukrant Sharma (Assistant Professor ), Dr. Akanksha Mahajan (SMO), P.G Scholars (Dr. Arjun Gupta, Dr. Madhu Bala, Dr. Shefali Magotra, Dr. Bhawna Biloria, Dr. Neeru Bharti) Deptt. of P.G studies in Shayla tantra(surgery) examined patients of anorectal abscess, fistula, piles, fissure and were given free medicines and advised for kshara karma and kshara sutra. Public awareness campaign was also run & people were advised to take plenty of fluids & green leafy vegetables. Dr. Sudesh Gupta told that more then 80 percent population of age group 21-50 yrs is suffering from piles. Piles is also seen common in pregnant ladies. These diseases are more common now a days because of irregular dietary habits, sedentary life style & consumption of more fast food. The department of P.G studies in Shalya tantra is doing many research projects like Kshara Sutra, Ksharakarma, Agnikarma, Jaulakavcharan (Leech Therapy) in various ano-rectal diseases so that surgery can be avoided. |
