Jammu, Mar 28: The ceremony of 8th J&K State Shooting Championship was today held at General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club, Dogra Educational Complex, Bari Brahmana Jammu. The championship was held from 23rd March to 28th March 2018 where about 200 Shooters from across the State participated. Dilbag Singh, IPS DGP Prisons, J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion who distributed Medals and Certificates to the winners. In his address, he said that the shooters of J&K are doing very well despite lack of facilities and infrastructure in the State. He particularly mentioned the names of Shreya Saxena who represented India in Junior Asian Championship at WAKO, Japan 2017, besides, winning 11 Gold and 2 Silver Medals in National Championships in 2017 and Kavya Kochhar who bagged 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal in National competitions in the year 2017. The welcome address was presented by Kuldeep Singh Jamwal.
