| GDC Sunderbani organises Seminar on Eco-awareness | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 28: A seminar on Eco-Awareness was organized in the college ground at Govt. Degree College Sunderbani Wednesday.
On the occasion, O P Sharma Vidyarthi was the chief guest of the event. O P Sharma is actively associated with environment. He is a renowned environmentalist, writer, motivator and facilitator.
The function started with bouquet presentation to O P Sharma followed by the welcome address by the Principal of the institution, Dr. Sangita Nagari. The Principal in her address threw light on the theme of the seminar by highlighting the indispensable association of nature with human beings. During his long talk O P Sharma apprised every one of the benefits of the plants in their area. In his speech he motivated the young minds to focus on sustainable development. He emphasized to make an attempt to preserve and restore the natural environment. He highlighted the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection. After sensitizing towards the environment, O P Sharma also distributed books to few students as token of appreciation shown in environmental queries. A memento as a token of gratitude and reverence was presented to the O P Sharma in the end. This seminar was conducted by 'The Literary Club' of the college under the convenership of Nidhi Choudhary, Assistant Professor of English. The event was attended by the faculty and many students.
