Poonch people seek fixed rates of goods | Food safety Deptt in deep slumber | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, Apr 16: Consumers of border district Poonch are careworn as there is no fixed rates of different goods. According to the sources, there is no fixed price of vegetables, fruits and other goods and shopkeepers are openly looting the consumers. If a shopkeepers selld vegetables at the rate of rupees 30 per kilogram, the next one provides the same item at the Rs 40. It is observable that officers of the concerned department claim total prudence but ignore the shopkeepers who loot the people. Locals have appealed to newly deployed deputy commissioner Mohd Aijaz Asad to intervene and fix the rates. |
