JSS Kathua celebrates Baisakhi festival | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 16: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua visited Gurdwara in lieu of Baisakhi celebration. Students from Class I to X visited District Gurdwara. They worshiped God and sought the blessings. Head of Gurudwara enlightened students about the purpose of Baisakhi. In school a special assembly was conducted in which Principal Shuchita Gupta addressed the students and threw light on Baisakhi festival. Baisakhi is usually celebrated on 13th April and very occasionally on 14th April every year. The Baisakhi festival is a seasonal festival. It is celebrated all over the India especially in Punjab and Haryana by all classes of people Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims all take part in this celebration. It is celebrated to mark the arrival of the harvest season. She also conveyed her best wishes to the students and wished that the festival should be celebrated in its true spirit to usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our life. |
