| Unidentified gunmen shoot three civilians in Baramulla, all die instantly | | | S Tahir-ul Haq

BARAMULLA, Apr 30: : Panic gripped the Baramulla town in the evening after three civilians were shot dead by unidentified gunmen. A top police official said that three civilians were killed by unknown gunmen at Baramulla town today late in the evening.
There was a chaos and confusion all around the town as some gun shots were heard today late evening. After confirmation it was known that the gunmen have fired upon the three persons near Iqbal Market in Khanpora area.
In the incident, the trio sustained serious bullet wounds and died instantly on the spot, the official told early times. The official said that the slain have been identified as Asghar Khan, Asif and Haseeb Khan, all residents of Jamia Mohalla old Town Baramulla.
"Yes we have recovered three bullet riddled bodies and their identities are being ascertained," the official said. The official informed that the whole area has been cordoned off to trace the assailants, meanwhile the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem and investigations have been taken up.
Meanwhile sources said that, as per available information one Pakistani militant and two local militants are involved in the incident. In the incident, the trio sustained serious bullet wounds and died instantly on the spot. |
