Sasan greets people on Buddha Purinima | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 30: Gurdeep Singh Sasan vice President National Conference, Jammu province extended his heartiest greetings to the people on the Auspicious Buddha Purinima. Addressing a religious congregation at Channi Kamala organized by Mahatama Buddha Sewa Samiti Ambedkar Nagar, Jammu Sasan said that Mahalama Buddh was a great socialist and reformist who always stood in favour of righteous and created a classless and casteless society. He said the Mahatama Buddha got enlightened and also got Mahanirvana after completing his Life stint of 80 years. He said that he gave four noble truths which are as under: Life often involves sufferings, the reason for the sufferings is the desire and Attachment, to cure sufferings we have to stop wanting, the way to stop wants is not to change things but to change our own minds. Sason described Buddha a great spiritual teacher. Sasan also paid rich tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar one of the greatest intellect and social reformer of India and champion of non violence. Though the Buddhism was born in India but due to its universal message it spread in other countries like Tibet, Sri Lanka, China, Mangolia, Japan and Korea. He further said that the teachings of Buddha have a universal appeal which is a dominant factor in the spread of Buddhism. Buddha's message of love, compassion and a disciplined and recluse life are some of the traits of his philosophy which are relevant even today in this era of desires, hate and sufferings. Sasan appealed to the people to untidily fight against social evils which are prevalent in society, like female feticide, for women empowerment against casteism, for equality, against illereteray. |
