Debate, Painting competition held

Doda, Apr 30: 29th Road Safety Week 2018 with a theme "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha" concluded by holding a debate and painting competition was organised by Motor Vehicle Department at HSS boys here.
Chief Planning Officer Doda Yoginder Katoch was chief guest on the occasion whereas Principal HSS Boys Doda Tanveer Wani was Guest of honour. A large number of students from different schools of the district participated in the competition with zeal and enthusiasm and painted their views regarding the various aspects of road safety
While speaking on the occasion, CPO stressed upon the participants to observe strict adherence to traffic rules and appease the public to brief others also on various road safety issues.
DySP HQ Iftikhar Ahmed, DPEO Doda Ayaz Mughal and ARTO Zubair Ahmed also spoke on the occasion and stressed upon the need for adopting necessary road safety measures for averting road accidents and loss of precious life.
The painting competition was held in two categories of Senior and junior level where students painted their imagination and understanding on road safety. Iqra Balwan and Tazium Fatima of Shaheen Public HSS Doda were adjudged as winner in senior and junior level respectively.
Similarly in debate competition, Senior Category, Shalini of GDC Doda was declared winner whereas in junior category Saniya Malik of Govt HSS girls bagged the first prize.
