Bali Bhagat's removal from cabinet 'celebrated' by many

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 3: Ousted Health Minister Bali Bhagat has once again come in limelight for allegedly trying to encroach around five kanals of land and running transfer industry in the department. As Bali was dropped from the cabinet, the people of his constituency, and medical fraternity, appreciated the decision of party high command. A video has gone viral in which a group of inhabitants of Raipur, Domana come on the road and protest against Bhagat and his close lieutenants for threatening locals and encroaching in the area. He was allegedly looting people and running "Gunda Raj" in the constituency.
In the video, the workers said that funds had been collected and they worked day and night to make his win during elections. But instead of expressing gratitude, he did not allow anyone to speak in this regard as he had a mafia of four to five goons working for him. "He (Bali Bhagat) tried to grab my five kanals of land. What will happen to poor people, you can guess easily from it," the person alleges in the video. Appreciating the decision of high command for removing Bhagat from the cabinet, the man says the constituency will be improved now.
Meanwhile, the medical fraternity is also happy over removal of Bhagat. They say he had completely failed to streamline the functioning of the health sector. During his tenure, doctors had to face huge public resentment for not providing required medical services and drugs timely.
Sources said a huge number of transfers were withheld, forcing doctors of the Health department to run after transfers and modifications instead of providing treatment to needy patients. Furthermore, Bhagat had also failed to appoint confirmed and qualified doctor for the post of Principal Government Medical College Jammu.
