Early Times Report Jammu, May 9: Special Judge Anticorruption (CBI Cases) Jammu M L Manhas today awarded five years imprisonment to Joginder Singh S/O Mangal Singh R/O BPO Kalyana, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu, Rtd. Jr. Asstt. from Revenue Department who arranged forged documents for partners of Divya Rice mill for loan from SBI Kacchi Chowni. Court acquitted Naresh Kumar Gupta S/O Ishwar Chand Gupta R/O H. No. 573 Sector 11 Part 1 HUDA Panipath Haryana, (Chief Manager, the then Team Leader, State Bank of India, RASMECCC, Zonal Office, Jammu), as prosecution failed to prove that he was responsible for commission of offences u/ss 120-B, 420,467,468,471 RPC & 5(2) r/w 5(1)(d) of J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006. According to the facts of the case that had Pritam Singh S/O Tara Singh, partner Divya Rice Mill (now dead) and Jasvinder Singh S/O Darshan Singh, partner M/s Divya Rice Mill (absconder) entered into a partnership on 11.10.2006 to set up a Rice Mill at Dabler, in pursuance to which they hatched a conspiracy with officials of SBI and others to seek loan through cheating, and In furtherance of the said conspiracy, they approached SBI Kachi Chowni Branch to obtain credit facility of Rs.113.5 lacs and accordingly, in October2006 submitted an application form supported by necessary documents. Pura, District Jammu(Rtd. Jr. Assistant from Revenue Department) is convicted & entenced. |
