ZEO Manjkote produces trash in name of circular | Reflects quality of education in govt Schools of Rajouri | | Early Times Report Rajouri, May 9: The trash produced by Zonal Education Officer, Manjkote reflects the quality of education that is imparted to students in government schools of the state. The circular issued by the officer is reproduced below: "All the HOI of the institutions Middle/ Primary of zone Manjakote are directed to not attend the office of u/s himself nor allow any teacher or their respective schools before 1 PM for official work as the office timing is 4pm. Moreover if any single school tr. Proceeds on leave/any other duty it is responsibility of complex heads to provide teacher to concerned school Any sort of Violation shall be viewed seriously Sd/ Zonal Education officer" (SIC). It has been observed by successive Chief Education Officers (CEOs) in Rajouri district and noticed that even the students of 8-10 classes could not even answer a simple general knowledge question, can't solve the simple mathematics sums. Recent 10th and 12th class results is also an indication of poor performance of government schools as out of twenty government higher secondary schools with result between 0-20% (12th class) 14 schools are situated in Rajouri district. After poor results of 10th and 12th classes in Kashmir Education Zone, State government has constituted a committee comprising of Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to CM; Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department and other well learned members, for suggesting measures to raise the academic standard of government schools so that results may be improved . |
