Fearing mass copying, BOSE shifts examination centre

Rajouri, May 9: After apprehensions of mass copying in 10th class examination centre at government higher secondary school, Peeri in Kotranka tehsil. BOSE authorities have shifted the centre to Rajouri school.
The matter was brought into the notice of administrative department/ and Board of School Education (BOSE) by Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry, DDC.
J&K BOSE has created two centres in Rajouri district for the candidates appearing in 10th class examination Annual session (regular)2016-17/ Bi-annual (private) 2016 for J&K state open school (SoS) candidates starting from May 10.
One centre is at government higher secondary school at Peeri and another at GHSS (girls) at Rajouri.
As per details 205 candidates, even from Nowshera, Sunderbani,Kalakot etc tehsils, have opted for Peeri than Rajouri which is about 10 kilometres from Rajouri town.
"Only 25 candidates have applied for Rajouri centre which surprised the district authorities and there are apprehensions of mass copying at Peeri centres. Our request for shifting the centre from Peeri to Rajouri has been accepted by the J&K BOSE and has assured to issue the revised order" said DDC.
Additional DC (ADC) vide order No.DMR/2018-19/JC/1712-20 dt 9/5/2018 has already imposed restrictions around examination centre (s) under section 144CrPC.
