| Notorious drug peddlers arrested along with Heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: In continuation to the drive against drugs, launched by SSP Vivek Gupta, Peer Mitha police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 8 gram heroin from their possession.
Police spokesman said that police party of police post Gujjar Nagar today achieved a major success when two notorious drug peddler were arrested alongwith nearly 08grams heroin like substance.
"Today evening, during routine naka checking at Gujjar nagar Bridge one vehicle front side without registration number plate(JK02N8654) Car was stopped for checking.
"During enquiry both disclosed their name as Babar choudhary of chak mohd yar RS Pura and Mohd Amin of Darsoopura RS Pura", said a police spokesman adding thay 8 gram heroin like substance was recovered from his possession seperatly besides 04 syringes, used for injecting drugs, were also recovered.
Accordingly a case under FIR no.29/2018 under srction 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Peermetha police station Jammu.
The arrest was made by a team headed by Ms Sheema Nabi IPS (Prob.) SHO Peermitha assisted by SI Tariq Ahmed I/C PP Gujjarnagar under close supervision of Varun Jandial, SDPO City North and Vinod Kumar SP City North Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention that both the accused are notorious drug peddlars and are involved in a number of other henious criminal cases. |
