| JK ReT Teachers Forum stages protest against Kathua | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 3: Jammu and Kashmir RET Teachers Forum staged protest at Dreamland Park Kathua under the chairmanship of its Senior Vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh.
Hundreds of RETs of all Zones of District Kathua participated in the protest. While speaking on the occasion, Sr Vice Chairman of forum Bhupinder Singh lambasted the State government for not paying due attentions towards the salary issue of SSA teachers. Singh said that government called us two times for meeting regarding the delinking of SSA salary from MHRD to State budget but both the times Education Minister refused to delink the salaries and even refused to give the benefit of 7th pay commission to SSA teachers as a result JK RET teachers forum is protesting on roads from last twenty five days. Bhupinder Singh said that, they are demanding to delink our salaries from MHRD to State budget as all SSA teachers are the employees of State government which is the only solution of this salary issue.
Singh appealed all the Union Leaders of education department to come on single platform and make a broader unity in favour of SSA teachers and issue joint calendar in favour of delinking of SSA salary. Singh threatened the State government that if government fails to delink the salaries of SSA teachers from MHRD to state budget, we will lock our schools and will not open till our salary will not delink. Provincial Chief coordinator Pritam Dhimaan also spoke on the occasion and appealed the SSA teachers to remain unite and shortly all Unions will be come in single platform in favour of SSA teachers. Pritam also appealed the teachers of their cadre to not follow the Protest of any individual forum and follow the Joint calendar of all Unions in coming days. |
