110 head teachers without salaries since 3 months in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, June 3: Launching a scathing attack on the Education Department for placing the 110 head teachers in Kishtwar under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for withdrawal of salaries, the head teachers of Kishtwar District who are without salaries since last three months said that they are the state employees and not the ReT who had been appointed under centrally sponsored Scheme SSA. They said that their appointments had been made through Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board well before the launch of the SSA scheme in the state and called upon the government to treat them as state employees and release their salaries out of state budget. As per the details available with Early Times, a general meeting of all Masters working in various Upper Primary Schools of Kishtwar District was held today in Dak Banglow Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Mohammad Shafi Giri wherein they called upon the authorities to rectify its previous mistakes and place them under state budget so that they get salaries hassle free. In the meeting the issue regarding the pending salary for the last three months and for streamlining the salary under state budget was discussed. Speaking to Early Times, Mohammad Shafi Giri said that around 110 masters in District Kishtwar are suffering for no fault of their added that all the masters are basically the recruits of JKSSRB and have been promoted as Masters from 1987 to 2002 through the Departmental Promotion Committee ( DPC ). He said that all the promoted Masters who were supposed to be adjusted in State run schools under State Budget have been unfortunately adjusted in newly upgraded UPS under SSA designated as Head Teachers instead of Masters. |
