Team Jammu demands quashing of FIR against CRPF man booked in Valley | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 3: Lashing out at the Central Government on announcing 'Ramzan ceasefire', Team Jammu on Sunday said that what kind of ceasefire it is that on borders Pakistan is targeting the civilians whereas in the hinterland, our security forces are being attacked by the stone-pelters and the anti-national elements in the Kashmir valley. "What kind of ceasefire it is," Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Team Jammu Chairman pointed out while addressing an emergent meeting of membes of Team Jammu to discuss the situation at Jammu borders as well as in Kashmir valley. Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed government at the Centre seems to have surrendered before the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as despite the fact that the situation in Kashmir is volatile, the 'Ramzan ceasefire' was announced by the Union Home Ministry. "Situation in the Kashmir valley is not conducive and simultaneously along the borders either it is International Border or the Line of Control," he rued. Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that 'Ramzan ceasefire' announcement has not only demoralized our security forces but created a sense of insecurity among them while dealing the law and order problem in the Valley. "At the same time, if Pakistan, who celebrates the holy month Ramzan-is not in favour of ceasefire then why we are beating the drum of 'Ramzan ceasefire' only to appease a section of politicians for political mileage at the cost of our security personnel," he slammed. The Team Jammu Chairman asserted that Pakistan is bombing our border villages and targeting our innocent civilians, which is unfortunate and condemenbale and added, "even after DGMOs level talks on the hotline agreeing for ceasefire along border, Pakistan fired unprovoked and targeted our border dwellers. How this Pakistan can be relied upon?" |
