NCC cadets organize waste collection drive

Jammu, June 18: The 2nd J&K Girl BN NCC of GDC, R.S. Pura organized waste collection drive today under the guidance of Principal of the College Prof. Kalpana Kesar and supervision of Prof. Shaveta Chowdhary, Nodal Officer NCC. A village level Swachhta Rally based on Solid Waste Collection was carried out by the cadets in the village Baga Marh which has been adopted by the Girls NCC wing of the college.
During the waste collection drive, the cadets of 2 J&K Girl BN NCC performed various activities including waste collection, segregation of solid waste and transportation of household waste to appropriate site. Also the cadets performed door to door visits to create awareness regarding the separation of solid waste into wet waste & dry waste and their proper disposal.
