Is J&K heading for President rule? | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 18: BJP national president Amit Shah has asked all party ministers of J&K and senior leaders to reach Delhi on Tuesday morning for discussing Kashmir situation. Credible sources said that through state president Ravinder Raina, BJP national president has directed all ministers to reach Delhi for the meeting. Ravinder Raina, Ashok Koul, (general secretary organization, Dr Narinder Singh, Harinder Kumar Gupta and Pawan Khajuria (all general secretaries) have also been directed to attend the meeting at any cost. Credible sources said that BJP leadership is seriously thinking to break alliance with PDP because a group within party is of the opinion that PDP leadership had kept the party in dark about Ramzan ceasefire which has proved counter-productive for the Saffron Brigade all over the country. Credible sources said that rejecting suggestions of the PDP leadership, central government had already ended Ramzan ceasefire on Sunday. On Sunday Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had stated, "Security forces are being directed to take all necessary action at the earliest to prevent terrorists from launching attacks and indulging in violence." At the same time, he made it clear that the government will continue with its endeavour to create an environment free of terror and violence. "It is important that all sections of peace-loving people come together to isolate the terrorists and motivate those who have been misguided to return to the path of peace," the minister added. The Centre had announced suspension of operations at the beginning of the holy month on May 17 "in the interest of the peace-loving people of the state". |
