Srinagar,June 18: Despite the situation being tense in the Valley, thousands of Kashmiri Pandit devotees, who were displaced by militancy, have started arriving at Kheer Bhawani temple at Tullamula in Ganderbal district for a fair. Jammu and Kashmir government had announced free transport service for the devotees from Delhi and Jammu to the temple and back to attract more Kashmiri Pandits to the mela to be celebrated on June 20. The Jammu and Kashmir Police had put up signboards enroute to the temple to welcome the Kashmiri Pandits. Like in the past, this time too the festival will witness Hindu-Muslim amity, with the local Muslims have set up stalls for the convenience of the Kashmiri Pandit devotees. They have made all the necessary arrangements for providing material for offerings, including the milk and flowers, to the devotees. |
