Column of sand raised by BJP-PDP has finally collapsed: Harsh
6/19/2018 10:50:29 PM
Early Times Report
DODA, June 19: "BJP had a bad beginning and its end has been worse. Unable to run the system and to face the political challenges of governance, it has laid down arms and admitted its inability to handle the affairs of the government, said Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister.
Having lost the confidence of the electorates besides it object failure on the governance front, the BJP had chosen to pull out of the PDP led government and had thereby proved that it was failed political party. He was addressing public meetings in Baggar and Wani villages of erstwhile Doda District today.
"The column of said has finally collapsed. It could not have survived as it had been laid on the foundation of political opportunism. The two diametrically opposed political parties, BJP and PDP, with their inchoate paradoxes, had joined hands after elections with the sole objective of sharing the fruits of power. And they were the parties that had vowed to demolish each other. But joining hands after elections they had antagonized their respective electorates leading to massive resentment and public outrage in both the regions which finally became the reason for inevitable fall".
Harsh Dev Singh said that the decision to pull out from the government was a political stunt by the BJP to enter the election campaign for 2019 polls. Having hoodwinked the people especially in Jammu during elections by its treacherous terrain of Jumlas, the saffron party was finding it difficult to face the Dogras in particular who were seething with anger. He said the BJP could not escape responsibility for the massive killings of civilians and soldiers that took place in saffron rule besides release of thousands of stone-pelters in the past despite its glamorous slogans of zero tolerance against militancy and subversion. He said the abrupt ending of the three and a half year long soap-opera of BJP-PDP misrule had brought cheers even amongst the BJP voters who were feeling cheated and betrayed. He however regretted that the BJP had surrendered on the eve of Amarnath Ji yatra and at a time when it ought to have accepted the challenge of peaceful conduct of the Hindu pilgrimage. The BJP had not only failed in governance but had exhibited itself as a coward, said Harsh.
