So-called peace activists add to confusion
Want autonomy for J&K, clock to be reversed to 1947

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 19: Amidst terrorists calling shots and Pakistan leaving no opportunity to paint the borders and the Line of Control (LoC) red the so-called "peace activist" O P Shaw who is in Kashmir these days wants clock to be reversed to 1947 and autonomy to be restored in Jammu and Kashmir.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It looks like that peace activists like Shaw want the Government of India to surrender before Pakistan and their stooges."
He said, "It's high time for the GoI to pave the way for complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the union of India by scrapping Article 370. Making peace with terrorists and Pakistan are no options."
A Kashmir watcher said, "The so-called peace activists should stop visiting Kashmir and giving suggestions. They need to mind their own business and allow the central government to handle the security situation in the Valley."
He said, "Security Forces had almost wiped out terrorism from J&K and the success of Operation All Out against terrorists had almost brought peace back to the Valley. The PDP forcing the central government to announce unilateral ceasefire in Kashmir emboldened the terrorists and allowed them to regroup. During the first few days of the holy month of Ramadan Pakistan army carried out massive ceasefire violations on the borders and the LoC painting it red and later terrorists went on a killing spree in Kashmir."
The Kashmir watcher said, "Can't the peace activists like O P Shaw see how terrorists and Pakistan are bleeding India. It's surprising that people like Shaw are demanding that clock should be reversed and Armed Forces Special Powers Act be withdrawn. Is it that they don't realize that if such things happen it would lead to anarchy in Kashmir and would lead to terrorists establishing their writ and separatists' running a parallel system."
He said, "The so-called activists should stop talking about reversing the clock to 1947 and playing into the hands of separatists and Pakistani stooges. These activists should bear in mind that J&K is an integral part of the India and no power on earth can snatch it."
Another analyst said, "The need of the hour is to handover Kashmir to the army and give it a free hand to wipe out terrorism and the supporters of the terrorists from the Valley. The entry of so-called peace activists should be banned in Kashmir."
He said, "These peace activists meet every Tom, Dick and Harry and add to the confusion. This needs to be stopped."
