| Unholy nexus between bovine smugglers-police exposed | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: The alleged connivance between bovine smugglers and police of a particular district has become headache for the adjoining districts as the influx of vehicles loaded with bovines is increasing day by day. "Connivance between bovine smugglers and police of a district now a days it become headache for its adjoining districts as the influx of the vehicle loaded with bovines from that particular district has been increasing day by day", said a source adding that officers of other districts including Station House Officers (SHOs) are under immense pressure because of this nexus operating in this particular district.
If sources are to be believed, a Station House Officer (SHO) posted in the adjoining district signalled a truck loaded with bovines but on seeing the police party, the driver accelerated the truck and tried to escape. "The SHO of the concerned jurisdiction tried to intercept the truck but on seeing the police party the truck driver tried to escape", said a source adding that at last the SHO fired one round resulting in busting of the tyre of the truck and the bovine smuggler was arrested and truck was also seized. The SHO pleading anonymity alleged that they are facing huge problems owing to the unholy nexus between bovine smugglers and police of a particular district. |
