Serious differences in Cong over reviving relations with PDP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: Serious differences have been emerged within Congress over entering into alliance with PDP because majority of the party leaders have warned that this decision would be proved counter-productive for the party in the days to come. Credible sources said that PDP leadership through the mediation of some neutral national leaders has been trying its best to enter into alliance with Congress to keep its flock together but a strong group with in Congress is opposed to this idea. This group has suggested that PDP has become a non-performing liability so any relation with this party at this time of point would not be in the interest of the party in Jammu and Kashmir regions. Credible sources said that a group within Congress has warned the central leadership that due to its pro-separatist and anti-Jammu policies people of Jammu region are not ready to accept PDP at any cost. And in Kashmir Valley people are annoyed with the party for forming government with the BJP. Credible sources said that this group have made it clear to the party leadership that majority of the people of Valley are against PDP for its previous alliance with BJP while in Jammu region people are deadly against this party for formulating policies which are against people of this region. "The divisive and communal agenda pursued by the PDP in Jammu to create division among different sections of the society for vote bank politics has not gone well among secular people of Jammu", sources said and added that Congress leaders have warned that Dogra community, irrespective of caste, creed or colour, would be annoyed with Congress if party entered into alliance with PDP at this crucial time. |
