7/2/2018 11:16:34 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 2: The SR College of Competitions (SRCC) organised a free workshop for those KAS aspirants aiming at the newly introduced CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) scheduled for September two by the J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
Dr Vivek Sharma was the resource person, who guided the students in two-hour special session. Besides clearing many doubts, he showed the students techniques and means to attempt different sections of the CSAT in given time while keeping in mind the negative marking aspect of the only qualify paper.
Making their maiden attempt at such kind of Aptitude Test, students in the later session of the workshop had a discussion with Dr Vivek. "Good to see students asking many questions to clear their doubts. Such an effort on part of the students indicates their seriousness towards the competitive examinations," informed Dr Vivek Sharma.
The level of the J&K students aiming at the Civil Services has improved a lot and things were changing on a fast pace in this part of the country too. "The quality of coaching by the Jammu based institutes has improved a lot with the passage of time and now, with the change in the pattern of the KAS examination, I'm sure the state is sure go get qualify stuff in the civil administration," further said Dr Vivek.
Meanwhile, the management of the SRCC has contemplated a detailed programme to guide the young Civil Services aspirants through Free Workshops, Test Series and other Personality Tests.
"At SRCC, we are committed to the success of state students in both JKPSC and UPSC. The next in the line is Test Series for the Preliminary Examinations scheduled to be held from July 15. A CSAT batch has already been started and special fortnight-long 'Science and Technology' classes shall take place from July 11 by known Delhi based faculty, Dr Raj Shekhar," disclosed Centre Head, Praful Sharma.
