GRBMT urges Guv to reinstate Dr Ahanger

SRINAGAR, July 17: G R Beigh Memorial Trust (GRBMT) has urged the Governor to reinstate Dr A G Ahanger as early as possible in the public interest and to strengthen the functioning of all important health institute SKIMS. During the meeting held under the chairpersonship of chief patron Rasool Beigh, it was felt that services of Dr Ahanger are badly needed for patient care and services. Highlighting the dedicated services of Ahanger the chairperson said that he never indulged in private practice and has rendered services as dedicated HoD, CVTS in SKIMS. Furthermore he has served as Director, Indira Gandhi National Institute of Medical Sciences, Shillong with excellence and his experience could prove beneficial for the people of state.
The participants said that the banning of private practice of Para Medical Staff and Doctors should be implemented in letter and spirit so that patient care is not affected.
The meeting was attended by senior office bearers including Trade Union leader and Chairman GR Beigh Memorial Trust, Ishtiyaq Beigh, Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Chairman EJCC, Master Sheikh Manzoor, Dr Gh Mohammad Bhat, Dr Tahir Reshi and others.
