Udhampur, July 17: Poor work culture of Public Works Department (PWD) has put a poor man Ramesh Kumar who is already handicapped person of Village Incha Kulwanta in big problem.
Kumar told early times that PWD constructed a road near his home and a stream (nallah) falls on the road near his home but concerned contractor did not file the under ground pipe for controling the stream water as a result of which rain water from that stream (nahla ) entered his house and damaged the house. This poor handicapped man informed that he lives hand to mouth and after having all things at his home damaged his life has become miserable.
He also said that this has also affected the education of his children and they have no proper clothes to wear and no proper bedding to sleep He appealed to the DC Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar to kindly access his losses and compensate him so that he may resume his life normally.
He rued that so far none including the SDM, Tehsildar or anyone from police department has visited him to access losses suffered by him. He further said that the villagers are helping him in whatever way they can so that he may normally start his life. "Even no politician from any party visited my home while during the time of elections they frequently thronged our doors," he maintained. |
