| Interstate ATM fraudster arrested in Samba district | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 17 : District Police Samba claimed to have arrested an interstate ATM fraudster/ thief from Jakh, Vijaypur who used to fraudulently dupe innocent people and run away with their hard earn money.
Police spokesman said that the Police persons deployed in civvies in and around the ATM machines succeeded in arresting the accused person namely Rajesh Kumar of Kanoh District Hissar, Haryana from Jakh, Vijaypur when he tried to fraudulently dupe one person namely Tara Mani of Jakh, Vijaypur who went there to withdraw his cash money.
"During questioning the said accused disclosed that he offered help to innocent customers in withdrawing their money and then secretly noticed their ATM Password and thereafter withdrew the money from the accounts of the customers", said spokesman adding that in this regard a case under FIR No. 94/2018 under section 382 of RPC has been registered at Vijaypur police station and further investigation is going on. The Police team dealing the matter is making efforts in tracing out other members of the ATM thieves' gang. |
