Jammu, July 22: "One step forward, two steps back" seems fit for general administration department (GAD) as rather than mending mistake committed by political masters, the former committed another mistake.
Sources in GAD informed Early Times that Rehana Batul Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was posted Director Rural Development Department (RDD) Jammu, but officer seems reluctant to join as she was posted a step below her rank in administrative hierarchy.
"However, as per the order she was posted as Director General, but she will look after the works of director", they said, and added disappointed over her "demotion" the officer shirked from joining her new assignment.
"Rehana Batul, who is on number 7 in the seniority list of KAS officers, will be replacing former Director RDD Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali who is on number 152 in the seniority list", they said. They said that the since new officer has not joined her assignment, predecessor in RDD Jammu was enjoying the privilege of RDD's Divisional Jammu head. "She can protest, if her rights are 'violated', Mohammad Mumtaz Ali should join his new assignment, why he is not complying with government order", they said. |
