VIJAYPUR, July 29: Defying Governor N N Vohra's directive of barring inauguration of any official building, work by MLAs in view of suspended animation of legislative assembly, BJP MLA Dr. D K Manyal today inaugurated official work in District Samba.
After taking cognizance of various reports that MLAs have been inaugurating official buildings, works under Governor Rule when Lower House has been placed under suspended animation, the Governor issued an order directing that no MLA will inaugurate official work.
However, BJP MLA from Samba constituency, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal today inaugurated high mast lights at Gurudwara in Village Barian at the cost of Rs. 1.65 lakhs from his CDF in total defiance of the Governor's order. After inauguration, Dr Manyal addressed the public. It appeared that BJP legislator was pretending to be unaware of the directive despite the fact that the news in this regard was published in all dailies. |
