Kathua, July 31: The inter School District Level Tournament of District Kathua being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua in which Bhavya of DPS, Arish, Antriksh of Spring Dales Excel in Badminton. The event organized under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj witnessed the competitions of Badminton and Tennis Ball Cricket for under 19 years boys at Officer's Club Kathua and Sports Stadium Kathua.
Badminton Boys U-19, Singles, Bhavya Sharma of DPS Rajbagh defeated Munna of HSS Marheen by 2-0 sets in final. Earlier, Bhavya outplayed Naman of RSJN by 2-0 sets and Munna defeated Ritik Pathania of GHSS Kathera by 2-0 sets in first and second semifinals respectively.
In doubles, Arish and Antriksh of Spring Dales Kathua won the final by defeating Ridham and Jaiveer of Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar by 2-0 sets. Earlier, Spring Dales outplayed St. Xavier Convent School Hatli by 2-1 sets and Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar outplayed Little Angel School Kathua by 2-0 sets in first and second semifinals respectively.
Today's matches were officiated by Uttam Singh, Savita Sharma, Kewal Krishan, Sanjay Kumar under the convenorship of ZPEOs Surinder Kour and Rajesh Kumar. |
