Despite Raj Bhawan orders, Babus uphold attachments of 'influential' teachers

Early Times Report
rajouri, July 31: In brazen violations of the orders of the Raj Bhawan that all the attachments in Education Department be revoked forthwith, at least three teachers who were actually posted at schools here in Sunderbani continue to enjoy favorable attachment in the winter capital of Jammu.
Official sources said despite the orders from Governor NN Vohra on revocation, the Directorate of School Education Jammu upholds the attachments.
A senior official in the department talking to Early Times said while schools in the border district of Rajauri in Lower Hathal zone continue to suffer, three teachers posted there, enjoy attachment at the office of Director Education Jammu.
"Rohini Sharma original place of posting is Government Middle School Gura Chatala.
Rajni Sharma original place of posting is Thanda Paani school. Badshah Hussain original place of posting is Thumba. But all the three continue to be working in Jammu," said a source in the education department.
He said the teachers continue to be posted at the Directorate office Jammu for several years.
Sources said the department has upheld the attachments despite several representations from the affected schools that the absence of these teachers was affecting the class work.
When contacted a senior official said the matter would be looked into.
