| Jodhamal organizes workshop on "Zero Hunger" | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 29: "Zero Hunger" workshop conducted at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu under ISA Activity on 20 Oct 2018 was a huge success. The speaker Dr SP Varma Vice President Gandhi Global Family and state expert on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) spread awareness about UN SDGs with an emphasis on causes of Hunger and initiatives taken by UN to attain Zero Hunger by 2030. He also shared various policies taken by Indian Govt in this regard.
In this interactive session Dr Varma ignited the young JMPians minds about the gravity of this important issue. He suggested spreading awareness, creating food banks and emphasised on zero wastage for combating hunger. The workshop evoked a huge response amongst the inquisitive children of Jodhamals' who had many queries, which were answered by the speaker in a lucid manner. Dr Varma was accompanied by Ankush Varma and Dr Surinderpal in the successful conduct of workshop.
The workshop was moderated and summed up by Trilok Singh Bist, principal Jodhamal public school. Vote of thanks was given by Shweta Bakshi (leader ISA Activity).Few teachers named Nandani Bakshi , Rashi Mengi and B Rajeshwari were also present in the workshop. |
