| GDC Akhnoor concludes "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" program | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 30: In continuation with "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" Abhyan, Govt. Degree College Akhnoor today on 30/01/2019 concluded the program by organizing different activities at Govt. Middle School Gura Mandiala Bomal, Panchayat Bomal.
On this Occasion Prinicipal of the College Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma was the Chief Guest and highlighted the activities performed by the college under this program and the time for execution and implementation by involving all the members of the society Resource Person Dr. Neha Gupta from Govt. Sub District Hospital Akhnoor spoke on the schemes of Health Department for Girl Child and females and CDPO Block Akhnoor made people aware about the Social Security Schemes for Girls' child of Social Welfare Department in the J&K Sate.
The other spoke on the occasion was Nitu Devi, Sarpanch Panchayat Bomal. A Dogri skit on "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" was also presented in the program and all the girl students of the school were rewarded to encourage them by the college. Earlier the program was started by NSS Volunteer Rashmi Singh.
student of BSc Sem-VI of the college and welcome of dignitaries by Dr. Manmeet Kaur, Asstt. Professor in Chemistry. The whole program was conducted under the supervision of Cultural Committee of the college with the coordination of NSS and NCC Volunteers.
Also present on the occasion were Prof. Kuldeep Kumar NCC officer, Prof. Dewarka Nath, Prof. Suresh Sharma NCC officer, Prof. Deepak Kumar, Panches of the village, Parents, staff and students of the school, NCC and NSS volunteers and others. |
