3/4/2019 10:08:14 PM
Early Times Report
Doda, Mar 4: The public of Panchayat Joura Kalan,Tehsil Kahara, District Doda sought personal intervention of Governor for up-gradation of an in-genuinely ignored 54 years old Girls School from Middle to High School.
As per press statement issued here, it states as residents of the area witnessed great discrimination in many sectors but in Education Sector, the situation is worst. The lone Government Girls School Joura Kalan opened in the area about 54 years back, has not seen the attention of education authorities in terms of Up-gradation. Other similar Institutions opened in the area, namely in Village Kencha, Joura Khurd, Tanta, Kahara, Nandana, Dadi Kathava and others have been upgraded to Higher Secondary Schools or High Schools but Govt. Girls School Joura Kalan has hardly been granted Middle School few years back.
It also states that despite the fact that there is huge strength of girl students available and more to this, there are 4 middle schools, (Middle School Kunthal, Middle School Suranga, Middle School, Budhi and Middle School Shamdlian) around Govt. Girl Middle School Joura Kalan , which can become the feeding schools in case the present Govt. Girls Middle School Joura Kalan is up-graded to Girls High School. In absence of this, the poor girls have to travel a distance of 4 to 5 kms on foot for higher education. Mostly, because of this handicap, the dropout percentage of girls has increased manifold.
Sarpanch Panchayat Joura Kalan, Anil Kumar said that there is strong resentment against the successive Governments and the authorities for this neglect and step motherly treatment. There is urgent need for up-gradation of Govt. Girls middle School Joura Kalan to High School, as has been done with other Schools mentioned above opened in the even period, So that poor girl students of the area do not feel hardships on this account and are compelled to abandon their studies for no fault of their part. The public of Panchayat Joura Kalan, Tehsil Kahara, District Doda seeks personal intervention of worthy Governor for Up-gradation of an in genuinely ignored 54 years old Girls School from Middle to High School.
