| Pahalgam Contractors put PDA on notice, demand release of bills | | | Anantnag, Mar 4: A group of contractors have served a legal notice to Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) after it failed to release the payment of works contactors have executed four years ago for maintenance of Holy Amarnath Yatra track.
Contractors told Early Times that Authority's failure to release payment of works on time on have forced them to seek intervention of Court. The contractors are seeking release of 1.45 crores.
PDA Executive Engineer, Manzoor Ahmad Beg told Early Times that the issue has been taken up with the government.
"We haven't denied them the payment. The moment we will receive money from the government same will be released to contractors," he assured. |
