| Casual labourers of BDA demand regularization of services | | |  Early Times Report
BHADERWAH, Mar 19: The casual labourers of Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) held a protest demonstration here demanding regularization of their services and implementation of SRO 520.
Scores of casual from Bhaderwah Development Authority assembled here in TRC Amira Nagar, Bhaderwah chanting slogans in favour of their demands. Holding placards and banners in their hands, the protesters said that they are demanding release of their pending wages and regularization of services.
President of the Chenab Valley Workers Union Tariq Zargar, Kashmir Singh along with BDA CL workers Union Naresh Kumar and others said they are working in the department from the last 10 years as casual labours."We are demanding to regularize our services and implement SRO 520 for us," he said. They said that the casual labours are facing a lot of problems due to callous attitude of government towards them. "We don't have any money to pay the tuition fee of our children as our wages are pending with the department," he said. The protesters requested the Governor Satya Pal Malik to look into the matter and release their pending wages. |
