Valley based politicians always glorify militants: Lal Singh
3/19/2019 11:16:27 PM
Early Times Report

Billawar, Mar 19: Chaudhary Lal Singh while addressing a huge gathering at Ujh Bridge here today said that when the valley based politicians supports agenda of the separatists Jammu should not be put to suffer because of Kashmir and it must be given a chance to live peacefully by making it an independent state.
Singh said that the only resolution to the present imbroglio in the valley is to take it under the direct control of GOI by declaring it UT and making Jammu a separate state and the demand of Ladakhis for UT be also considered. When I was a cabinet minister I was the only person to oppose the file of the honorarium of six thousand per month to the surrendered militant, he said.
"No one in the cabinet opposed this file but kept on waiting for the first approval of Lal Singh. I threw the file and never signed it much to the shock of Mehbooba and surprise to my then fellow ministers. It was by a planning that file was sent in circulation to me bypassing even the then senior Ministers of my party just to see my reaction and to make me the scapegoat," said Singh.
He said that on the other hand when he asked for the compensation for the people of the border areas killed because of the Pakistan shelling, then no one came for their rescue. These Kashmiri centric people always opposed to such policies which are meant for the benefit of the people of Jammu, he said.
Singh further said that it is unfortunate that the militants killed in any operation is give big epithets like Commander of JEM and those the real heroes of the land are demeaned in its presentation in the media. Any such practice by a section of press should be stopped without further loss of time, he said.
"Our martyrs should occupy bold headlines instead of enemies of the nation. Whenever a militant is killed, valley based politician start shedding crocodile tears by showing sympathy with them and calling them innocent. Those politicians should be booked under treason and should not be left scot-free," he said.
Singh said that it is very important to understand that we are not fighting at the cost of the national interests but we are fighting for the implementation of the vision document of the Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan.
