| With the induction of Priyanka Gandhi as the General Secretary of the Indian National Congress ( INC), very hectic political activities are going on these days in the affairs of the century old political organization - Indian National Congress (INC). Grounds are being prepared to give the befitting reply to the NDA government at the centre led by the Prime Minister Narender Modi. INC was on the decadron earlier under the solitary leadership of the INC President Rahul Gandhi. Now the INC got the boost with the entry of Priyanka Gandhi in the Indian polity. The leadership of the INC is extremely busy in devising the various and designs and the strategies to come on the rails once again. Some political experts are of the firm opinion that with her induction in the Indian politics, Narender Modi would be facing the tough resistance from the INC to come into power after the elections to the Lok Sabha in April/May.
It is pertinent to mention that Priyanka Gandhi would definitely generate the confidence of the people towards more than a century old political organization - Indian National Congress (INC). Having remained in the active campaigning during the Lok Sabha elections-2014, Priyanka Gandhi went under hibernation and now with the blessings of her mother, congressmen and the people of the country has made her entry into the Indian politics openly. It was a futile exercise rather a great mistake to install Rahul Gandhi instead of his sister Priyanka Gandhi as the head of 130 years political party which fought against the British rulers in attaining the Independence in 1947.
Same was the case of other political parties in the country e.g. SP , BSP and the Communist parties which were dictating their terms every now and then to the UPA-I and II Government at the centre rather they were blackmailing the UPA. Those were the days when these parties were ruling the country actually more than a decade whereas the PM Dr. Manmohan was the nominal head at that time. Weakening INC miserably, the continuance of UPA -11 in ruling the country with the support of SP. RJD, CPI- M and others had put the nation in a bad pitiable economic condition. Under the regime of PM Narender Modi after 2014 the Indian National Congress had gone on the back foot and was not feeling comfortable as it had a meager strength in the Indian Parliament with just strength of 44 Members of Parliament in the Lok Sabha. This was the sorry state of affairs of this great nation. During UPA -11 Rule, numerous scams involving lakhs of crores of rupees occurred. It is worth mentioning here that the other political parties being fragmented and reduced to a big zero made the BJP to walk in easily to rule the country for full term of the present Lok Sabha according to its whims and wishes. INC's political history after Independence reveals that it had seen many ups and downs in the country's history of parliamentary democracy. In 1969, INC was divided into two Congresses. One was led by S. Najlingapa termed as Syndicate Congress and the other was led by Indira Gandhi and termed as INC - Indira which got the massive support of the general masses of the country and where as the Syndicate Congress was diminished ultimately with the passage of time. There were well experienced and matured political leaders like Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, S. Najlingapa, K. Kamraj, D.K Barooha, Indira Gandhi etc. who commanded and control of the Indian National Congress according to their wisdom. At the same time its graph started coming down in respect of its ruling in the states of the Indian Union. Watching and analyzing the present political scenario, INC set right its own house with the induction of Priyanka Gandhi as the General Secretary of INC first in order to put the INC back on rails once again. Since the parliamentary democracy is a system of governance of the country with a check and balance, it is in this context, there is dire need to give the befitting reply to NDA which is ruling the nation at the moment. As for as Rahul G andhi is concerned he caused massive damage to the party and could not establish his credibility. He is having a small syndicate of some young leaders / guys in the INC with the help of whom he tours the length and breadth of the country. On the contrary, Priyanka Gandhi is having the charismatic personality and resembles with her grandmother Indira Gandhi. Political experts feel that she can easily put the party of her ancestors back on the rails once again. In the fitness of the things, the present situation of the INC demanded for her active participation in the party's affairs without wasting any further time. Priyanka Gandhi made the entry her party on January 23 this year only and became the General Secretary Gandhi of the same. Priyanka Gandhi can pose a threat to PM Narender Modi in the days to come. She possess all the required qualities of a good leader and her charismatic personality is dashing and full of dynamism/clarity lies in her voice which attracts the people at large. She gives the resemblance with her grand mother Indira Gandhi. Priyanka Gandhi never gets panicky and she analyses the events with seriousness, calm and due care. Parliamentary democracy needs that there should be a strong and effective opposition which the INC can only provide under the dynamic leadership of Priyanka Gandhi. The entire responsibility of the party should be entrusted to Priyanka Gandhi. In the prevailing political scenario of the country, a wide vacuum is developing for the opposition unity under the INC banner. Therefore, INC should try its best to en cash the opportunity. Feeling the pulse of the people, now Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have come forward in revitalizing INC. Rahul Gandhi has now become very active and improved his oration a lot. From mild, he has switched over to the aggressiveness and challenging the Prime Minister Narender Modi on every front. On March 18 last year, Rahul Gandhi President INC , while addressing the 84th Plenary Session of the INC held at New Delhi, described the BJP leaders as the team of the KAURAVAS and whereas he termed his party as the PANDVAS. On this score, he referred about the old MAHABHARAT BATTLE fought between the KAURAVAS and PANDVAS which was fought at KORUKASHETRA. Rahul Gandhi announced that they would win the coming Lok Sabha elections and 'll come into power at the centre by all means. Rahul Gandhi promised that if UPA comes into power, the country will become Lovely India once again. The top priorities of the UPA government will be:-Providing of Jobs to the unemployed youth (both skilled andunskilled),Raising of Income of the farming community and rest all other priorities fall in line after these two specifically. Blasting on the Modi government at the centre, the former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh had stated that Modi government has made the J&K Problem as grave one and rather mishandled it thereby entering into an alliance with the pro Separatists and Hurriayat Amagamation which did not work resulting which BJP had to withdraw its support from the Coalition Government led by the former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Let the INC come into commanding position and regain its lost glory in the near future under Priyanka Gandhi's leadership. Under the able leadership of Priyanka Gandhi, INC would be strengthened much and would certainly get another opportunity to rule this nation once again. It is the high time to give the reins of the Indian National Congress in the hands of Priyanka Gandhi as she possesses all the qualities and the personality indeed to lead the party to the logical ends. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi also held a road show in Lucknow as a first show in connection with the launching Congress campaign for the ensuing Lok Sabha election in the country. INC got the boost as thousands of the Congressmen and the workers participated in the same. This show jolted the BSP/ SP alliance and BJP and they started feeling at the low profile. Women in the large numbers attended the same and raised slogans in favour of INC and took the pledge for doing their best to capture maximum number of seats in the Lok Sabha this time. These days, Priyanka Gandhi became very active and the people of the country are having much expectations from her. She will be touring the entire nation and shall do all possible measures to dethrone PM Narender Modi. Within a day or two, she is visiting Allahbad and Varanasi in connection with election campaign. It is important to mention that after the Air Surgical strikes at Balakot done by the Indian Air Force on February 26 while taking the revenge of the barbaric and gruesome Pak terrorists attack in Lethpora of Pulwama District in the Kashmir Valley, has increased the Modi's popularity in the country. Not only this, the return of the Wing Commander Abhinandan to India from the captivity of Pakistan within a short span of three days has added to the credit of PM Modi. To give Modi the tough fight this time, Priyanka Gandhi shall have to work very hard to mobilize the support for the INC across the country. The C - Voter Survey reports as telecasted in the electronic media last week has indicated for the tough fight between the NDA and UPA as neck to neck. According to the reliable sources, BJP will not have the cake walk in the Lok Sabha elections. Only the time will tell exactly in the day to come.
